Crowns & Bridges Sacramento

Precision Crafted Crowns & Bridges to Restore and Enhance Your Smile

Dental crowns and bridges are very effective treatment methods to correct dental problems, including damaged teeth that must be extracted or salvaged without extraction and dental implants. Our Sacramento dentist offers a variety of dental crowns and bridges, and sometimes, only one appointment is necessary to address dental issues that can be resolved with dental crowns or bridges.

Dental crowns, known as same-day CEREC crowns, are made right on-site at Miyasaki Dental; they are long-lasting, durable, and aesthetically appealing because they are not obvious. They fit comfortably in your mouth and require no special attention or maintenance. You simply care for them as your dentist indicates, and they can last very long.

A highly skilled restorative dentist, like the ones at Miyasaki Dental, has placed dental crowns and bridges in hundreds of people and would be thrilled to explain how crowns and bridges work to restore the form and function of your teeth and enhance your smile.

Restorative Dentistry Procedures

Here, we will provide some basic information about implant bridges, regular bridges, dental crowns, and CEREC crowns, which are all used for cosmetic and restorative purposes. Highly skilled restorative dentist, like Dr. Miyasaki, has advanced education and training in transforming smiles with these and other cosmetic and restorative dental procedures.

Dental Implants and Implant-supported Dental Bridges

Dental implants are small titanium screws that are placed within the jawbone. Once the implants are inserted, they integrate with surrounding tissues over a four- to six-month healing period known as osseointegration.

They are designed to support custom-made restorations, such as a dental bridge, and act as natural tooth roots, helping the nerves within the jawbone remain stimulated. This helps preserve the long-term health of the jawbone and prevent bone loss.

An implant-supported bridge is typically made from medical-grade porcelain, color-matched to blend naturally with surrounding teeth. Your restoration will fit securely atop the dental implants and help bridge the gap. Our restorative dentists will show you exactly how this works.

Thorough Care & Education: A Dental Experience Like No Other

I’ve never had such thorough care as a new patient! They took such great interest in my history and gave me a comprehensive exam. The whole time they were educating me on what they were looking for and what they found. I even learned something new about the way my jaw works, which no dentist has ever shared with me before. They were warm, caring and very thorough. I have a history of dental issues and I feel confident that they can work with my existing treatments and keep me in tip top shape. Thank you!

Benefits of an Implant-Supported Dental Bridges

  • Improved oral health: An implant-supported bridge does not jeopardize nearby teeth or gums. Instead, it promotes bone regeneration so your jawbone and teeth remain intact.
  • Durable and stable: Dental implants fuse with the jawbone so that an implant-supported bridge will last many years. A dental bridge can withstand the same pressure as your natural teeth so that you will have restored dental function.
  • You can enjoy all of your favorite foods due to the durability of the dental bridge.
  • Look just like natural teeth: Your custom-made restoration will blend in perfectly with the natural aesthetics of your smile.
  • Improved self-confidence: Without gaps between teeth and missing teeth, you will smile again, and your confidence will skyrocket.

Same-Day CEREC Crowns

CEREC Crowns (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) are made from what is known as CAD/CAM technology and are created on-site in a lab. With traditional crowns, impressions are taken from your mouth and then sent away to a dental laboratory where the lab is made.

Once the crown is made, it’s returned and fitted in your mouth to ensure it works properly. Sometimes, the crown may not fit correctly on the first try and may need to be altered or made all over again. This lengthens the time you must wait to get your permanent crown. At Miyasaki Dental, your crown is designed and fabricated in-house.

The advantages of CEREC crowns are numerous. Digital impressions with CEREC crowns are more accurate than the putty used in traditional crowns. CEREC crowns provide a more precise scan of the tooth and surrounding area, eliminating the problem of poorly fitted crowns.

Whether you need dental implants or some other type of restorative dentistry like dental crowns or dental bridges, you’ll be able to have all of those treatments performed at Miyasaki Dental. You won’t have to wait for an outside dental laboratory to manufacture your crowns; any necessary corrections can be made immediately.

If traditional crowns are a better treatment option for you, our restorative dentists will explain why that is the case. Your options to correct the problem of missing teeth or gaps between teeth are abundant, and all are available at our practice.
