Comprehensive, Patient-Focused Care
Dr. Yasmine Peterson earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in 2020. She is an active member of the Sacramento District Dental Society and the California Dental Association.
Dr. Peterson provides comprehensive dental care and has particular experience in areas including Invisalign®, dental implants, and restorative dentistry. She enjoys the variety of dentistry and the opportunity to continue developing her skills as techniques and technologies evolve.
Working alongside her father, Dr. Michael Miyasaki, also allows her to contribute to the next generation of the family practice while bringing her own clinical perspective to patient care.
Her Approach to Dentistry
Dr. Peterson believes that patients should feel heard and understand what is happening with their oral health. She takes time to listen to concerns, discuss treatment options, and help patients feel comfortable asking questions before making decisions about their care.
She also values continuing education. Dentistry continues to change, and she enjoys learning new techniques, working with evolving technology, and expanding the range of treatment she can provide.
Her approach fits naturally with Miyasaki Dental’s emphasis on education, prevention, technology, and individualized treatment planning.
Comprehensive Treatment
Dr. Peterson clinical work includes preventive and restorative dentistry as well as Invisalign®, dental implants, and other treatments designed to improve oral health, function, and appearance.
Rather than considering individual procedures in isolation, she looks at the condition of the teeth, gums, bite, existing dental work, and the patient’s goals when discussing treatment.
Outside the Office
Outside the practice, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with her husband, Rajeev, and their sons, Zayn and Zander. As a family, they enjoy exploring Sacramento, trying new restaurants, visiting playgrounds, and spending time together.
